Perhaps you don’t have enough Miles to obtain either an award ticket or any other rewards you may be interested in. Well, you have other options with DISTANCIA as we offer additional opportunities to make your trip or reward a reality.

Buy Miles

Get your award tickets, hotel nights, car rental vouchers, or any other of your favorite rewards easier and faster by buying the additional Miles you need in blocks of 1,000 Miles at a cost of US$30.00 + taxes per block.

Please remember that if the number of Miles you need to obtain your reward is less than 1,000, the remaining Miles will be credited to your DISTANCIA account.

Transfer Miles

Now you can transfer your Miles in blocks of 1,000 for US$15 + taxes per block to the DISTANCIA account of whomever you wish.

For your own convenience, keep the following in mind:


 
      
  • The maximum number of transferable Miles (to either give or get) in a calendar year is 50,000
  • Once Miles are transferred they cannot be restored to the original account under any circumstances

Translate Bonus Units into DISTANCIA Miles

If you are a member of any of our partners’ loyalty programs, you can transfer, totally or partially, the bonus units you may have accrued with them into DISTANCIA Miles. In order to do this, you must ask the associated partner to perform the actual transfer.

Millas para los Míos

"Millas para los Míos" is a fund made up of Miles donated by DISTANCIA members, which are, intended to help charitable institutions, people with limited resources, and other individuals traveling for humanitarian purposes, with flight tickets to any TACA destination.

Donations can be made online by signing into your DISTANCIA account and clicking the options Buy/Transfer and then "Millas para los Míos"; or, you may also do so by sending a message to edesk@taca.com clearly indicating the number of Miles you wish to donate, and your frequent flyer number.
